Charly Heavenrich Biography

Charly Heavenrich has fashioned his life’s work around pushing beyond his self-imposed edges and helping others do the same. As a business owner with an MBA in International Business and Finance, Charly was dissatisfied with his life and made a radical shift in the 1970s to become a professional raft guide in the Grand Canyon. He joined me the day before he set off for his 105th trip down the Canyon to share stories of ordinary people who’ve had extraordinary experiences, going where they never imagined possible, doing what they thought they couldn’t do.
